Two government employees, including a central government GST department senior assistant, have been arrested by the Tirupati East police for the alleged sexual exploitation and blackmail of a 16-year-old minor girl.

- The Accused: The primary accused, Rammurthy, is a Senior Assistant in the Central GST department. His wife, who serves as a Deputy Tahsildar in Railway Koduru, was also arrested and remanded for actively aiding in the crime and attempting to cover it up.
- The Offence: Rammurthy allegedly molested his minor niece multiple times while she was visiting his home in Tirupati for her school holidays.
- Blackmail: The accused reportedly took photos of the minor girl without her knowledge and used them to threaten and blackmail her into silence.
Investigation and Legal Action
- FIR and Transfer: The victim returned to her home in Hyderabad and confided in her parents after experiencing severe trauma and depression. Her parents lodged an immediate complaint at the Jagathgiri Gutta police station in Hyderabad, where a case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and transferred to Tirupati via a Zero FIR.
- Current Status: Following a swift investigation supervised by Tirupati East police officials, both government employees were arrested and sent to judicial remand.
